Participants must be signed up for ranking by completing the application and paying the $50 annual fee (for each calendar year). You can sign up at any time throughout the year. It only takes one race to be ranked.
All classes of RC can be ranked.
Ranking begins January 1, 2021, and continues throughout the calendar year ending December 31, 2021.
Class ranking is unlimited. You can run unlimited classes and receive a ranking for each class you run and submit results.
Any race you attend and submit verified results can be used toward your ranking.
You can race out-of-state races and use those results towards your state and regional rankings.
Your 10 best results in a calendar year will be used to determine your 1WRC class rank. You can submit more or less results but only the top ten will count towards your ranking. Some may not be able to attend 10 races per calendar year. You will be ranked off your submitted results.
Offroad carpet and offroad dirt classes are ranked separately.
Points are only awarded for completed mains that have been completed. Results based on qualifying alone will not be counted. Completed single A-mains as part of a double A-main will be counted as complete. For example, if it rains the second A-main out, the first results will be considered complete.
You will receive 1 point per entry in the class you enter. For example, 50 racers in a class equal 50 points for that class ranking. The winner would receive 50 points, 2nd place would receive 49 points, and so on. If the class has 5 racers, you will score 5 points for a win.
You will receive 1 bonus point for TQ in each class you have entered if you top qualify. The main you TQ'd in must be completed in order to earn a bonus point.
Points will go toward Pro rankings unless otherwise noted in the results. Larger events with class separations that have a novice, sportsman, intermediate, or 40 Plus class will be scored separately from your Pro rankings. If you run any of these classes at large events, you will be awarded points for those classes and not your Pro rankings if you submit those results.
You are responsible for submitting your race results. Race results can be submitted easily by using the "Submit Results" page found under "More" on the header of the home page. Race results must be submitted within two weeks of completing the race. Complete race results must be submitted to calculate your points. If you can't submit results online, full printed results may be mailed to PO Box 2641, Harrisonburg, VA, 22801.
Certificates will be awarded for the overall state, regional, national, and world points leaders who are in the top five. These will be awarded at the end of the 2021 season.
Registered number plates will be used in the 2022 racing season and must be purchased separately.
